  1. Hurray! I recognize five or six songs from this list lol... and one of them I really like: "What a Wonderful World". Thanks for such a complete list and also for the mention :)

I'll have to try these out and will let you know what I think.

    2. Thanks Train - glad you enjoy my posts!

You might see me showing up in your stats for a bit until I make it through this list. I listened to the first three songs last night and will make my way through the rest over the next few days (or as long as it takes).

But here's a question for you. The ones I listened to sound very much like party music - and that's how you've listed them as well - but is this the sort of music people just listen to at home?

I mean, it's very fast and atmospheric... To me it feels like it fits the dancing/party scene perfectly - but I'm not sure how it would fit in as something to just sit down and listen to?

    3. In my experience, most of these are not listened to recreationally. They are the songs you play to fill the dance floor.

    4. Ok, thanks :)

  2. So, I just spent about five minutes freaking out. I've never been mentioned in another blog like that before so I'm really, really excited right now. haha

I'm proud to say that I actually know about 75 of those songs. That is a really good list of music!

Also, I can't take credit for suggesting the post. You had the idea. I only encouraged you to write it up. (=

    3. haha But now you have a chance to go listen to all of this amazing new music!

Besides, (guessing by your mention) if you listed one hundred songs, I probably wouldn't know any of them. So it's all fair! lol

    4. ;-) well there is something in what you say. I've been playing with the idea of throwing out some Indian music at some point - just to maintain the balance! lol

  3. I don't know some of the newer songs, but I was familiar with almost the entire list. Of course, I hang out with a DJ, so I should be up on music.

    YAY ME, ANYWAY!!!

  5. I'm so out of it. I've gotten into Christian music for the last few years, and although I flip radio stations, and hear current hits at the gym, I never know the titles or the artist, so I'm not sure how much of that list I actually know!

I will sing along with 11, 15 and 47 for sure (and some others). But I was very surprised about 50. What a Wonderful World? For real? At a party? I love Louis Armstrong, and I have that one on CD, but I'd never call it a party song!
